Northern Lights Visible Over the Netherlands
Aurora Borealis Expected to Be Visible Again This Weekend
The Northern Lights, also known as the aurora borealis, were visible over much of the Netherlands on Friday night and could again be visible this weekend. The best time to see the Northern Lights is when the sky is dark and clear, and there is little light pollution. The Northern Lights are caused by the interaction of charged particles from the sun with the Earth's magnetic field. These particles are drawn to the Earth's magnetic poles, and when they collide with atoms and molecules in the atmosphere, they emit light. The Northern Lights can be seen in a variety of colors, including green, red, blue, and purple.
